Castle Doctrine Bill Passes PA Senate Committee
Yesterday was a big day for Pennsylvania citizens and another small victory for legal gun owners! A Pennsylvania Senate Committee passed the NRA supported Castle Doctrine known as HB 40 with a 13 – 1 vote. Introduced by state Representative Scott Perry (R-92), HB 40 would permit law-abiding citizens to use force, including deadly force, against an attacker in their home and any place outside of their home where they have a legal right to be. If enacted into law, it would also protect individuals from civil lawsuits by the attacker or the attacker’s family when force is used.
Another victory for PA Residents!
Currently, the law in Pennsylvania requires you to retreat from a threatening situation when ever possible. That’s right…even in your own house, you have no right to defend yourself unless it is a last desperate option. Even then, you will be subject to a flurry of civil and criminal lawsuits from any number of factions. Completely unacceptable! HB 40 will give PA Residents the legal power to defend your home and your family that they deserve. It also protects your right to defend yourself outside the home and in your vehicle. It’s a shame that we need a law like this because it is just common sense that you should be allowed to defend yourself but in this day and age, it’s also good to have written law behind you in all cases of self defense.
It’s not over yet…the bill will now be considered by the PA State Senate as early as today! Once HB 40 passes the Senate vote, I hope we can all count on Gov. Corbett to do the right thing and sign it into Pennsylvania Law! So for now, we need to call our Senators and tell them that we want them to support HB 40 LIKE A MOFO!
Muslims Urged to Buy Full Auto Weapons
Adam Gadahn - Ex-American al-Qadea Spokesman
American al-Qaeda spokesman Adam Gadahn, or shall we say ex-American, released a statement recently that urges American Muslims to go to gun shows and purchase fully automatic weapons in preparation for shooting attacks. Mr. Gadahn is the son of a couple California hippie’s that fell into the whole uneducated anti American crowd and like the rest of his kind, it really shows. As most gun show attendee’s know, full auto guns are not readily available to the average American. Gadahn claims that these full auto weapons are obtainable without ID or any type of background check. Folks, I have been to many gun shows and I have never seen a full auto rifle available without a background check. As a matter of fact, you have to fill out a barrage of paperwork, signed by a local or county sheriff and filed with the ATF. The waiting period is somewhere in the neighborhood of 3-6 months just to be approved. On top of all that, there is a $200 federal tax stamp required per gun and you usually have to pay the seller, who must be a federally licensed class III NFA firearms dealer, in advance. There are not many full auto’s available under $10,000 each! Plus, part of the heavy restrictions of full auto ownership outlined in the GCA of 1986 (Gun Control Act) reads like this: Civilians are not allowed to possess fully automatic weapons unless they were manufactured prior to 1986. The weapons manufactured before 1986 are “Grandfathered” meaning they can still be LEGALLY transferred thru a licensed/bonded Class III NFA Weapons Dealer.NO fully automatic weapons made after 1986 are legal for civilians to own or possess.
So, as you can see, Mr. Gadahn is pretty much full of shit! Full auto guns are not easy to obtain and are not readily available to help unleash jihad on unsuspecting infidels! As a matter of fact, in order to legally purchase one, you must jump through a series of daunting hoops and be somewhat wealthy. Personally, I think this new statement from al-Qaeda is designed to work with the American public’s existing fear of full auto guns. In reality, full auto gun fire is surprisingly less accurate in battle. It is mainly used as suppressive fire to cover troop movements. The high rate of fire and recoil causes the barrel to rise during full auto firing thus making the gun very inaccurate. Better results are obtained from semi auto fire which is one bullet per pull of the trigger. I’ve often said that I would rather face a Muslim with a full auto AK than a marksman with a single shot .22! The marksman will win every time!
Ok, we know that it will be next to impossible for al-Qaeda to obtain full auto rifles. As I mentioned, this latest statement is designed to play on the antigunner’s fear of full auto weapons. It is designed to create an even bigger difference in the American peoples views of gun ownership. al-Qaeda is hoping that all the people on the fence with gun ownership will side with the antigunners and demand more gun restrictions and more gun grabs from legal gun owners. I can hear those light bulbs going off in your heads! YES! al-Qadea is trying to disarm us from within! Makes sense…disarm the people and it will be easier to carry out attacks on domestic targets, plus the main goal of terrorism is to create conflict and disruption in our way of life! As easy as it is to laugh off Gadahn’s comments and threats, this is possibly one of the most dangerous attacks on us yet. Not only will the ensuing debates split the country even more, it could take away more guns that could be used to thwart insurgent attacks on our own soil. It almost seems that al-Qaeda is aligned with Bloomberg, Daily, Biden and all the other gun grabbing. left wing nut cases. As you can imagine, when your enemies have the same agenda as your leaders, nothing good can come of it!

The next step from left wing America will be to ban military style guns such as the semi auto AR15′s and AK-47′s. They will claim that Muslims can legally purchase these rifles or convert regular semi auto sporting rifles to full auto which again is not an easy task and has very little benefit to be gained. In all reality, the semi auto versions are more dangerous in the hands of a terrorist whack job to begin with. But that still does not justify an all out ban on this type of rifle. What can work is the background check system that is already in place along with some common sense! If you’re a gun shop owner or gun show vendor and some nervous, sweaty dude named Abdul wants to buy an AK from you…tell him to take a hike! Just like the company in Florida that though it was a good idea to train the 9/11 hijackers to fly commercial jets! What were the thinking? Sure, it is racial profiling, but it isn’t the Irish, Chinese or Californian’s that we are worried about! It’s the Muslim Arabs that we have beef with. When Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, we started to round up all the Japanese-Americans and put them in detainee camps until the threat could be assessed. By god, the same thing should be done with the Muslims! I know it sounds harsh and racial but come on guys…we are at war with these freaking people! We don’t need to be all touch feely with them! Let’s take our country back! Support the right to bear arms and tell the Radical Muslims to get the fuck out LIKE A MOFO!

creative play and broadens the imagination but I also think that kids should be taught proper gun handling in a playful way. There’s no way you can tell a kid not to point a toy gun at his playmates when playing Cowboys and Indians or War. But a parent can have little discussions about not touching real guns without a parent and keeping your finger off the trigger. Little pointers often help reinforce training.

Under the new rule, all such toys sold in Los Angeles would have the “entire exterior surface of the device white, bright red, bright orange, bright yellow, bright green, bright blue, bright pink or bright purple.”What kid would want to play war with a bright orange or yellow gun? The entire element of realistic action play is lost when you are pointing a bright colored gun at your arc nemesis! Now, I certainly don’t want to see kids get shot by cops that think they have real weapons, but there is another point to be made. Kids need to have responsible parents and responsible parents teach their kids right from wrong. It is wrong to point a toy gun at a police officer. Period. If kids learn that at an early age, there shouldn’t be any problems! My kids were taught that you should not point toy guns at anyone unless you are playing war and pointing it at your friends on the other team. Contrary to popular belief, kids can be taught! The problem comes from parents that are too lazy to teach their kids or from parents that are not responsible enough to be parents in the first place.
Another facet of this story is the popular Airsoft class of toy guns. They are made to look and function like real guns except that they shoot spring/air propelled plastic B-B’s. These guns are very popular with teens and even adults that engage in Airsoft battles. These battles closely mimic real battles and bright colored guns would not be conductive to game play. These guns are also popular with collectors in states that aren’t allowed to own certain kinds of guns. Again, a collector won’t want a brightly colored plastic replica gun! I am glad to see that the LAPD wants to color the guns and not just ban them from existence. That is a step in the right direction but any concessions in gun laws result in more concessions at a later date!
The LA Times article also mentions a line of realistic B-B guns available to the public. These rifles and pistols use spring/air or CO2 gas to propel metal B-B’s or pellets at high speeds. I don’t consider B-B guns to be toys and they shouldn’t be lumped into this discussion. B-B guns can be dangerous to intended and unintended victims. If someone pulls a B-B pistol on a cop, they very well could kill or injure him. Again, proper training can prevent kids form ever getting into this situation. I also feel that the B-B guns shouldn’t have to be molested into bright happy colors because they do serve a purpose as great training aids for shooters. They should be considered to be real guns and all gun rules should apply when they are being handled.
Teach Gun Safety
It all goes back to the parents. Good parents know what their kids are doing and should watch for signs of toy gun misuse. Good parents also know when to promote their kids to the next level of gun training. From toy guns to B-B guns and to that first .22 rifle. Proper gun handling is taught at all stages. Proper behavior should also be taught at all ages! Don’t punish all the other people in the country that use toy guns properly and safely everyday just because some inner city kids with poor excuses for parents did the wrong thing and got hurt or killed. Toy guns are one of the tools that good parents use to help teach their kids about safe gun handling. The rights of many should never be sacrificed by the stupidity of few. So get out there and shoot LIKE A MOFO…often and safely!
Embedding YouTube Videos May Soon Be a Felony
Yes, you read the title correctly! According to Senate Bill 978, prosecutors will be able to go after websites, blogs and forums for posting embedded Youtube videos that have been deemed copyright infringement by the powers that be. This means that someone like me can post an embedded Youtube video using the embedded sharing code that Youtube provides. Then somewhere along the line, somebody decided that said video is a violation of some copyright law and then the computer police come after me for posting the offensive video! Folks, this is a direct attack on our freedoms disguised as another feel good law to control the people. I guarantee that this law has other implications that can land your ass in jail for similar offenses!
Right now, if a copyright law is found to be infringed…Youtube removes the video and the end user sees the dreaded black box that says the video has been

removed. Fine. No harm done, and everyone is happy! Except for Uncle Sam! He didn’t get to make any money on the deal so now we need a new law! I’m sure this is all part of Obama’s attack on the 1st Amendment! If he could shut down all the conservative talk radio stations, TV shows and bloggers out there in cyberspace, he would be as happy as a pig in mud. If enacted, this bill would virtuously eliminate the alternate media and make everyone think twice about posting a link of video online. A simple post could land you 5 years in prison and unknown amount of fines! After all, why would the government care about people’s copyrights being infringed? Memorial Day Weekend

7 U.S. soldiers among 8 killed in IED attack in Afghanistan
Kabul, Afghanistan (CNN) — Eight NATO soldiers — seven of them Americans — were killed Thursday when two improvised explosive devices blew up in southern Afghanistan, according to the International Security Assistance Force and the Pentagon.
A coalition military official said the attack occurred in the Shorabak District, a remote area in the southeastern part of Kandahar Province, approximately 100 kilometers (about 62 miles) south of the city of Kandahar. It’s the same region in which Taliban forces unleashed multiple attacks earlier this month in their so-called spring offensive.
The devices exploded one after the other, the official said.
ISAF did not identify the nationalities of the soldiers, but Pentagon spokesman Col. Dave Lapan said Thursday afternoon that seven of them were American.

Seven more American Soldiers have volunteered to defend Freedom and gave their lives doing so. They won’t be able to grille any more burgers or spend any more Sunday afternoon with their kids. They traveled to a dangerous shit hole country and ended up sacrificed everything so that we can continue to live free and safe in our beautiful towns and cities. You and I may not agree with the fact that our troops are putting their lives on the line everyday in a war over ideas, democracy and oil. But the truth is that our Nation called on them for action and they bravely answered. War did seem to have more of a meaning and urgency back in the days of WWI and WWII. Our country was in direct danger of invasion from enemy forces. Today, there are not too many enemies that could possibly invade our homeland but they can and do inflict terror and disrupt our way of life from their rat holes half way around the world. The only way to eliminate that threat is to send our troops over there in an effort to root out the enemy on their own soil.
Memorial Day is about remembering the men and women of the armed forces that gave up everything to preserve our way of life. It’s a time to look back at their courage and dedication and to remember that they have loved ones around the country that will never get to see them again because of their sacrifices. It’s also a time to remember that freedom is not free. It is paid for with the blood of our heroes. So, if you see a random Military Person this weekend, thank him or her for their service and for the sacrifice of their brothers in arms. Buy them a coffee, stand when you hear the National Anthem and applaud the flag line and Veterans in the parade. Show your heroes the respect that they deserve. Without those lost over the years, our way of lives would surely be different today. In past wars, conflicts and battles, all gave some – but some gave all! To those who gave all, this weekend of remembrance is for you! God bless America and all that have served LIKE A MOFO!
“Under the Radar” Legislation
And you wonder why us gun owners get worked up over gun control legislation? An article posted by the NRA and Fox News, earlier today, confirms what we have all been fearing. Obama: We’re Working on Gun Control ‘Under the Radar’ Here is the snippet:
On March 30, the 30th anniversary of the assassination attempt on President Ronald Reagan, Jim Brady, who sustained a debilitating head wound in the attack, and his wife, Sarah, came to Capitol Hill to push for a ban on the controversial “large magazines.” Brady, for whom the law requiring background checks on handgun purchasers is named, then met with White House press secretary Jay Carney. During the meeting, President Obama dropped in and, according to Sarah Brady, brought up the issue of gun control, “to fill us in that it was very much on his agenda,” she said.
“I just want you to know that we are working on it,” Brady recalled the president telling them. “We have to go through a few processes, but under the radar.”
So that’s how this is going to go down? Clandestine legislation? Wow. Just WOW! To me, this just admits that Obama and his henchmen know that most

of America supports the 2nd Amendment but the smaller group of anti-gunners has deeper pockets and can afford to buy their way into the government. The other problem is that many 2nd Amendment supporters don’t care what legislation rolls off of capitol hill as long as it doesn’t affect their hunting rifles or shotguns. Well, take a look at England. That is how it all started. First it was a ban on automatic guns then certain semi-autos. Then pistols and larger caliber guns. Today, you have to keep your .22 cal pistol and rifle at a government club and you’re not allowed to own anything else! The same thing will happen here. Once we give in for one ban, more will follow. It’s just like the old adage: If you want to boil a frog, put him in a cold pot and turn on the heat. He’ll jump out of a boiling pot when you try to throw him in! The government is the same wall…take away our freedoms one step at a time! Maybe we’ll never notice!
AR15 Sporting Rifle
Back to the legislation. The article mentioned hi capacity magazines as a focus point. Many people agree with this ban because hi cap mags are scary! They also don’t like sporting rifles such as the civilian semi-auto versions of the M16 and AK47 because they are scary! Truth is that there have actually been very few crimes ever committed by owners of sporting rifles and hi cap mags. Sure there have been some instances and there always will be. These guns and mags are generally higher priced and don’t fall into the hands of your average street thug gang banger. If you want to stop crime…enforce the laws that we do have and quit giving second and third chances to the bottom feeders that commit the crimes!
An unarmed society is a bad thing. If all the people are unarmed then they are peasants forced to do whatever the government says. With arms the people stay free. The 2nd Amendment makes all the other amendments possible. So next time you think, “Eh, that high cap mag ban doesn’t affect me!” Yes it does! If we ever have to take up arms against an out of control government or foreign invader…do you want to have a fighting chance or do you want to go to battle with a bunch of BB guns and .22′s? The only reason the Japanese didn’t invade the mainland is because of what Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto knew…“You cannot invade the mainland United States. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass.”
This attitude displayed by our commander and chief is some seriously scary shit and it is blatantly disrespectful to the American People! If you guys are OK with any of this, you need to check your priorities LIKE A MOFO!
Distracted Driving
We talk about freedom and consequently, the loss of freedom quite regularly here on LIKEAMOFO. Well another attack on our freedoms is under way in
PA Capitol Building
the Pennsylvania General Assembly. It’s a house bill called HB 896 and it is directed at distracted driving. The bill mainly prohibits talking and texting on a cell phone while operating a vehicle, among other things. I’m a little on the fence over this myself so I figured it would be good material for the blog. On one hand, I agree…no one should be texting while driving. It just isn’t possible. It’s dangerous for you and everyone on the road. Now, with that said, it should be common sense for people not to text while driving and not necessary of another law in the books to ban it! I’m really starting to realize that most laws are drafted up because people are stupid and have no freaking common sense! But I digress…the other part of the bill prohibits talking on the phone while driving and that is where I disagree. I can talk and drive just fine. It’s no different than talking to a passenger or listening to the radio. Neither of those actions are to be banned, so why is talking on the phone?
It all comes down to the individual. Although I am completely confident in my ability to talk and drive, there are people out there that shouldn’t use the phone while driving. (Some people shouldn’t be driving period! But that’s a post for another day!) HB 896 also doesn’t regulate navigation systems or any entertainment or electronic systems integrated into the vehicle. Again, some people can use these systems but there are others that can’t walk and chew gum at the same time! So what would this bill accomplish? Ban texting, OK. Ban Talking on the phone, OK. But you are still allowed to fiddle with the radio, talk to passengers, yell at the kids, eat a burger, play with the wife’s leg, finger bang the girlfriend, maybe even shave or put on make up or read the paper! Now, the bill does have provisions for issuing distracted driving citations which I find vague but I suppose they could cover some of these other distractions.
Don't text and drive!
The point is that we need another motor vehicle law like we need another hole in the head. We already have laws about safety restraints, tinted windows, head light brightness, music volume…hell, lets ban dark color cars because they are harder to see at night! Supporters cite safety as the main need for the laws. The bad thing is that these laws just promote stupidity. People no longer need to think for themselves because the government wants to do it for them. Then the stupid people reproduce and have stupid kids that grow up even more dependent on the government to tell them what is right and wrong. See, I went of another rant all because of one proposed house bill! But it’s all true…call your representatives and tell them to stick HB 896 where the sun don’t shine! But use some common sense! Don’t ever text while driving and only use devices if you are capable. Oh and while were on the subject, would it kill you to use the damn turn signal once in a while! Just use that common sense LIKE A MOFO?

new here, do the crime – do the time! Nothing wrong with that other than the fact that some prostitution is legal in the State of Nevada! Granted, it is heavily regulated and allowed only in licensed brothels, but it is still legal in a form compared to New Jersey and all the rest of the 49 states that it is illegal in! Now I’m no prostitution supporter or anything like that, but it sure doesn’t seem fair that Miss Hot Pants in NJ gets arrested for doing the same thing her colleagues are doing in NV under state license! I can understand some state laws varying for instance, it may be illegal to have sex with a dead armadillo in Texas but not in Maine. Why? Because there are no armadillos in Maine! Makes sense, right! Right, but it shouldn’t be OK to be allowed to ride a motorcycle without a helmet in Pennsylvania and then have to put a helmet on when you cross over state lines to West Virginia or New York because the law mandates all riders wear a helmet in those states! As a matter of fact, there are only 4 States that are 100% helmet free: Colorado, Illinois, Iowa and New Hampshire. All the rest discriminate against riders in some fashion, including the State of Pennsylvania. In PA, riders between the age of 18 and 20 must wear a helmet while operating a motorcycle. Again, I ask: why are laws so varied across this great land?
Sexy Armadillo
Lets look at another hot topic of mine…Gun Rights. I can legally obtain a license to carry a concealed firearm in the State of Pennsylvania but I can only conceal carry in other states that have reciprocity agreements with my home state. This means that I can travel unrestricted to West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia and Florida, but I would be illegal in Ohio, Maryland and South Carolina just to mention a few! WTF kinda reasoning is this? Are our law writers on crack? Sometimes I think they are…stuff like this just makes my blood boil! If I pay my fees, meet all the requirements and obtain my legal license
Nation Wide Permits are Needed
to carry, it should be honored in any State in the union. There is a law trying to go through that would allow this, but it was voted down last year by a slim margin. Hopefully, our misguided law makers will have enough sense to make this right. It’s no different than a drivers license. Could you imagine having to get a license to drive in each state you travel to, or trying to avoid states that don’t honor your license on a trip route? Sounds crazy but this is what legal gun owners face every day in these “United States!”
I love this country but I hate the way our elected officials try to run it! We really need to make an effort to unite the country and make our laws more simple but smart. There’s no doubt that we have a lot of dumb laws on the books and the fact that they vary so much from state to state is even worse! There isn’t much we can do right now except research candidates and vote for the ones that will help restore our freedoms and make right those laws that are just ridiculous! The problem is that these candidates will say what ever we want to hear to get elected but then they do what is best for them! Whatever lobbyist pays the most cash towards their retirement fund is the way the laws shuffle. That’s a story for another day. For now, just get out and vote for freedom LIKE A MOFO!
